Where does my contribution go? How will you spend money raised?

 

We are so glad you asked! All money raised through the auction sales, donations, wine pull and ticket sales goes to the Midtown PTSO general Knights fund. We support many programs and activities for our students, teachers, staff and parents. We have previously used money raised for things such as:

- Annual teacher start-up funds for classrooms in August ($200 for each teacher was given in Aug 2025)

- Teacher appreciation events, meals on training days and celebratory items

- Electronic subscriptions for world language tools

- Equipment for laboratories

- Entry fees for club competitions including robotics, mock trial, design, journalism and many more

- Reading materials

- Equipment and travel expenses for special education and physical education classes

- Homecoming tailgate activities and decor

 

If you have a specific interest or item you want to support, we offer Fund-a-Need items specifically at the auction event.

Through the these specific funds, your dollars will 100% go to those specific requests teachers and staff have requested. Keep your eyes and ears ready to donate specifically to items such as:

- G3 Robotics new ____ item (estimated $1,500)

- Photography Club new dark room lighting system (estimated $300)

- Marching MidKnights trombone repairs (estimated $500)

etc.
